Christmas 2025
Masonic charity goes far beyond financial contributions. Many of our members generously give their time, supporting causes that hold personal meaning. Each year, W. Bro. Anthony Hughes and his partner Sue spend Christmas Day volunteering with Seeds of Hope, helping to provide a festive meal for those who might otherwise spend the day alone.
There were around 50 people in attendance, including the Mayor of Solihull. In addition to W. Bro. Anthony Hughes and his partner Sue giving their time on the day, Christine Hare (wife of W. Bro. Andy Hare) kindly baked a Christmas cake that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The atmosphere was fantastic, with everyone having a wonderful time, and even Father Christmas made a surprise visit to share gifts and treats. The Lodge also contributed a cheque of £350 in support of the event.
