Remembrance Sunday 2025

On Sunday, 9th November 2025, members of Coleshill Lodge No. 8272 gathered at St Giles Church, Nether Whitacre, to take part in the annual Remembrance Sunday service. As part of this solemn occasion, the Lodge was honoured to lay a wreath in remembrance of all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.

Remembrance has long held a special place within Freemasonry.

Across generations, Freemasons have stood shoulder to shoulder in

times of peace and war, united by shared values of duty, integrity, and

brotherhood. It is estimated that many thousands of Freemasons have

given their lives in conflicts across the world — from the First and

Second World Wars to more recent operations — and countless others

have served bravely in all branches of the armed forces.

Today, as then, the bond between the Craft and the Services remains

strong. Many of our members are serving personnel, reservists, or

veterans, continuing the proud tradition of service both to Crown

and community.

For Coleshill Lodge, taking part in the Remembrance Service is a

poignant reminder of the values we uphold and the debt of gratitude

owed to those who came before us. We remember them — not only

as soldiers, sailors, and airmen, but as brothers.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
